Once the county elections office reviews your absentee ballot application, you will be receiving your absentee ballot at the address provided in your application. The time frame of obtaining your absentee ballot will vary depending on the election and county.
Fill out your absentee ballot based on the instructions provided. All the forms and envelopes to return your ballot will be provided. Remember to complete your ballot correctly in order for it to be counted.
Once you completed your ballot, it is time to mail it. Your absentee ballot needs to be sent to your county election office by Election Day before 7 pm.
If you lost or misplaced the absentee ballot that was sent to you, there is still a way for you to get a new one. You must sign an affidavit affirming that you lost, destroyed,or did not receive the first absentee ballot. In this instance, another ballot will be issued. A new request for an absentee ballot is not required.
